Leeds friendly this Sunday 15-05-2016
« on: May 13, 2016, 08:37:32 PM »

If anyone fancies a match this Sunday, I skipper a side in Leeds and we need a couple of players.

We are a mixed ability team and the team we're playing this week are a similar side so should be a good game. The match is at Calverley Lane which is just off the Leeds ring road at Horsforth. Start is 1.30pm, 40 overs per side.

Send me a PM if this interests you.

You didn't miss much. We started an hour late due to the pavilion keys being lost in the 5 yards between the keyholder's car and the pavilion. When play did start, the wicket was truly appalling and we were all out 36 and but actually could have won if not for the fact that we have to pick someone who is utterly decrepit. Last week he was ranting at a fielder for not making an attempt to stop a boundary off his bowling (if that is what you can call it) but yesterday he could not move 1 pace to his left to take a dolly of a catch. Had them 5 down at the end but with my club's overseas steaming in at one end, he could have cleaned up the tail.
