Warbird vs Hattori
« on: May 16, 2016, 09:32:10 PM »

Ladies and Gentlemen, as we all know the best cure for a run of bad scores is to purchase some new willow.  With that in mind and after previously owning a gun of a Hattori I am looking to invest in a new H4L wand.

As @uknsaunders is so quick to point out that I am a front foot bully the question is should I go with a Warbird or another Hattori, or should I be looking for something else?

All opinions and comments welcome

A good rule of thumb is to stick with what works best for you. If the hattori worked well and you scored plenty of runs, might be worth asking Matt to make you another to the same specs as your old one.

Lol,  fros definitely needs a driving bat!  From what has been posted Fros,  Warbirds are the current forum favourite or the kook ghost from IJC hand picked batch.

I will say that I'm a front foot player and I use warbirds and they live well up to their billing! Go like rockets!

I'll throw a spanner in the works and say look at the Hellfire, it's got an awesome balance and is great for playing drives. The NV also has a nice long sweet spot from my experience.

Basically, if you can get to Matt's go and swing a few found and buy two or three on feel  ;)

A new bat wont help get the form back. Chances of getting the form back are better with the same gear which was working before especially the bat because it takes a while to get used to a new bat and trust the new bat. Problems more often are in the head.
If you broke the bat then its a different issue.

@fros23 -  Mr Frosty, stick with the Hattori if it works for you. Take a look at  the one @felix  has just purchased, it looks a right sex-stick!

Meh, my Hattori's a lovely looker but it's not working for me at the moment, since making a score with my old Aldred first day of the season my form (and timing in particular) has spiralled downhill.  I don't think it's the bat's fault and says more about the user.  I'm tempted to follow @CrickFreak's advice further up the thread and go back to what I know, however I think I still need to persevere for a while, otherwise I'd just give up on it which seems like such a waste.

@felix - I'd say send the Hattori out on loan to me - I'll see if it works. :)
