@smilley792 agree ..not really concerned about grains as long as it pings well .. this bat pings really well and happy for a grade 3 that responds well.

Can't go wrong with IJC handpicked bats. I have got 4 bats from IJC so far and each one is fantastic in looks and performance.

Great looking bat there, and those stickers are really complementary as well

I'm completely lost on this ghost hype. Isn't this just a bog standard subcontinent shape? Aren't there dozens of bats out there with a near identical shape? And significantly cheaper?

Sorry to wee on your post. It's a nice enough bat. Maybe it's just that we've gotten used to Kooka bringing out the same, hopelessly unoriginal shape year after year and everyone's excited by something different and some cool white stickers.

I think it has more to do with the fact that in this age of even gaudier and gaudier stickers Kook have taken a gamble on more subtle sticker style. Plus I think most of the bats we've seen are very impressive aesthetically in their grain structure for their purported grade.

The thing that gets me, is that this bat is really nice, a great bit of work from Kookaburra. But, the message from them is, next year we'll bring out much more expensive models rather than keeping it as it is, which from these pictures would be no bad thing.

I take your point. Maybe they're just not my cup of tea.
