Masuri velcro rubbing
« on: May 18, 2016, 07:49:59 PM »

Hello all.

Strange one I know...but on saturday whilst making a dogged 32 runs and sweating a lot...

I took my Masuri off a couple of times to cool off between overs and felt part of the velcro that holds the sweatband in place  was rubbing above my eyebrow.  :(  The sweatband doesn't actually hold it's shape very well.

I've added extra velcro now and no good, but swapping the sweatband seems to have fixed the issue, as I don't want a nice bit of red worn out skin above my eyebrow every time I've been batting for a while!

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue?  Hopefully if they do this will fix it!

Buy a shrey

Another useful comment would be "don't bat for as long"

Damn it, I was just going to come out with that suggestion!

Serious response now, I'm assuming the swoopa started moving after you got a bit of a sweat on? You can either remove the Velcro and place it a bit higher up, or move the swoopa down so it overhangs the peak a fraction.

I have this exact problem.

I have a very awkward head size where the standard helmet is only just about ok but a bit too tight but the Large is too big even with the adjuster as far in as possible. I had to buy a thinner band for the Masuri but it really moves around and I can feel the velcro when I adjust it.

Really annoying.

Lol!

Yeah it loses a bit of shape with a bit of sweat on it, but like I say I've added more velcro as I got loads (from doing the Daft Punk helmet) and changed it to one of the replacement bands.
