Right let's see what issue Root has with batting at 3. Cos that's effectively what he's doing

Hahaha, I think we've been proved right.. Nicky Nicky yet again

Well James Vince is at the crease earlier than I think anyone would have hoped for. Let's see how he does at the highest level.

On another note isn't it nice to see an English test batsman using GM great again

hopefully the last half hour have shown England don't have the right to thrash anybody. We've no reason to be high and mighty about anything.

Come on Vince!

You certainly wasn't right about this being a waste of time and an easy thrashing.

Pretty much on par with your predictions for the SA tour, which saw you blow a gasket when you got it wrong and leave the forum for 6 weeks.

SL are a poor side but we are allowed different opinions. Feel free follow the ECB and I'll continue to see some of these players as not quite as good as the media portrays.

Sure if you want to rate that SA side given once it started they were missing half their bowling and batting was poorer than ever then sure.. England are suddenly world beaters 🙈

You and I simply disagree on 99% of cricket, you like hitter games and players  and I don't. Simple as that really.

This is proper Test cricket IMO. Bowlers are allowed to swing the ball around. It's not just all about flat pitches where batsmen can just pound the ball to the fence all the time. Pitches like this show more about a batsman's technically ability than a flat road where anyone can score runs. Hales, much to my surprise, played like a test batsman and actually showed respect to the bowlers, hence why he's still at the crease.

Is there any reason why James Hildreth has never played for England?
