Morning chaps

My current pair of Kook Kahuna 1250 have just started to rip on the back of the gloves. Even though it has no bearing on the performance of the gloves, I feel its good enough reason to get some more

I would like a keepers personal experiences with certain gloves rather than companies and suppliers trying to flog their stuff to me. I do mean that in the nicest possible way and I will inevitable buy through one of you but for now, just after direct reviews.

I'm really not a fan of entirely white gloves, although some white is fine, I am using Kahunas currently.

I quite like the GN Super Nova gloves and would love to hear about the Puma gloves as they look quite nice to

I was about to put these gloves up for sale this morning. Had them a couple of years but only ever used them once, hence they are as new. Take a look at the link below. Choice gloves made for Chris Read.

For me WK gloves come with 2 decisions - long or short cuffs AND soft or high protection. Most pros seem to go for the longer square cuffs for protection even though the shorties should be cooler. As for protection levels it's a personal thing. Again some keepers like to really feel the ball whilst others go for multiple inners (sometimes even going down a size). I like the GM, GN and B3 top level gloves although the Kahunas are v nice. Also worth having a look at Affinity for comfort levels.

Hi Mate,

I have been using puma for the past 4 years now, very good gloves, take a while to break in but once they are soft, they are great.

The cuff isn�t too long which I really like.

The one gripe I have with them is that the palm (hexpalm or something) wears very quickly.

Hi Mate,

I will second the Affinity gloves as well...I've got two pairs and they super soft out of the pack and requires minimal "breaking in" and the protection level is up there with any other top level glove. An added bonus for you...they have the same color scheme as the Kahunas.

@charliemott When you say quickly, how quickly? I'm not too worried as that could always be a excuse for more new kit down the line. And everyone like new kit, right?

@ilanz_bess As matching keeping kit is a must, colour scheme isn't an issue as purchase of new gloves goes hand in hand with purchase of new pads

I've got some B&S keeping gloves and they are incredible. Quality fit (some may say like a glove), and they look rather elegant plus they were literally ready to go out of the packet. Decent price too.

Having been a keeper for 20+ years I was a massive fan of bespoke made to measure gloves. I had mine made by the late great Geoff Wymer but have since acquired details of a friend and business partner to some degree who still makes them. Please give me a yell if you want the details

Off the shelf the B3 gloves a very good (but I would say that) however they are all white which is not what you're wanting.

I am also a huge fan of Hunts County gloves - i have been using their Clipper LE (top of the range) gloves for years. Great out of the packet, Squarish Cuff eg. not Shorty style but not too long, great ventilation and protection - they are mainly White but also have a splash of colour in them.

I have heard good things about both the Affinity and B3 gloves on here though.

I'm quite a fan of garish gloves, I always wanted a set of orange pumas circa 2005 and geriant jones. My last pair were all lime green

I can recommend Puma gloves, but I also second the comments about the Hextech wearing very quickly. They're very grippy out of the packet but you seem to pay the price for the added grip by them not lasting quite as long.

Also, I tried on all the range of last years EvoPower from 3 to 1SE and I noticed a big difference in quality, if you want some Puma's, I'd go with the best you can afford... The 3's felt nasty, just didn't feel well made at all.

You could try this years "Tricks" gloves if you fancy a wacky colour scheme!

Hi mate, been a keeper for about 10 years and for me the B&S gloves I amusing at present the Assegi ones are right up there with best ever gloves. For me the fir and cut is superb as they are cut to the shape of your hands and do not have a huge amount of over hand on the inside of your hands ( where they meet when hands together) super sort leather and great protection inserts in the fingers. Add in half the price at least of top end GN or Kook gloves and your on to a winner.

I use the GN Omega XRD for T20 cricket as I use GN kit for that and they are no where near as good
