SS TON Limited Edt. OLS at £145
« on: June 03, 2016, 11:53:12 AM »

Hi guys! Along with the Sierra I got this SS limited Edt.

Weight: 2:11
Edge: 45mm
Spine: 65mm
Toe: 30mm
Shoulder: 20mm
Profile: LOW
Grains: 11 straight and evenly spaced
Finish: SS perfect. Love it. Smooth like a babys bottom.
Handle: Round. would say medium thickness.
Ping: Absolutely stunning. For a slow low pitch, this is perfect. Pings well, even very close to the toe.
Pickup: This is a very big bat, and you dont feel it while picking it up. Amazingly it does not feel bottom heavy, even though the majority of the meat is down low.

Face:

Profile:

Shape:

Grains shot:

Would absolutely recommend this for the front foot driving player!

looks a lovely bat mate and should serve you well! Just got to ask, is it just the photos but looking at the face just where the tec and the stickers are it looks quite rough almost like blade marks on the bat? ??

Good spot. The tec was on when I got it. Might be OLS or SS doing a bad job at pre sanding. OLS knocking in service has the tendency to open up small surface cracks, then he glues them up. (You can se it just below the tec at star# 3 and 4 theres some glue.

Good looking bat. Does it have a bit of a duckbill?

Yes it does, but seeing it's a low middle, it's a chunky duck bill.

Oh cool, It did look a like a more subtle duckbill compared to some of the newer BAS models

Thats a beautiful SS bat. Say what people may about OLS but the bats that he delivers for the price are often amazing. Hope the bat goes well for you!

Well, I haven't had a bas in my hands for years, it might be smaller :-)

Both these bats where bought home, with the intention of my teammates to take them of me. It took one session for both to go.

Seems a common spot for SS to be breaking the last 12 months.

Or a snapper where the handle has been put in too tight

Id say storm damage over the handle being put in too tight as normally when the handles too tight the crack goes down the back off the bat from the bottom of the splice not across the face, I could be wrong but it's just my experience with them

Seems storm damaged. Should be giving you a refund or another bat.
Any luck?
