Best Seats for MCG test
« on: June 04, 2016, 03:25:50 AM »

Never been to a boxing day test at the G, mainly due to family commitments. But going to put my foot down now, I'm going.
So question to those who have been to a test at the MCG, what area should I try to be seating in?

In the perfect world they would be undercover, behind the bowlers arm, great atmosphere and unbelievable value

Pretty sure it's Bay 13 where the rowdiest part of the crowd are mate. Around there was the loudest even throughout the day of a Test vs the Windies back in December! It'd be close to behind the bowlers arm and if you manage to go up a level you should be well covered from the sun. Ticket prices are never that expensive (compared to English Tests), but obviously you still have the different levels etc that you can pay.

The atmosphere will be great anywhere. With regards to the other requirements, pick 2. ie; behind the bowlers arm and undercover - won't be unbelievable value.
