DIY : color your pads
« on: June 10, 2016, 01:49:36 AM »

Hi everyone,
I'm a long time member but this is my first post
my batting pads were getting old, and I'm playing in a league that requires colored clothing.
so went ahead and tried to color my pads to match my new masuri elite navy blue helmet. Let me know what you think.
two light coats with a gap of 10 minutes and one medium coat after 15 mins.

1. cover the logo

2. blue tape to cover the back

3. result

4. here is the dye , I used

I'd love to see how the colour holds up after some match use, but they look top notch!, well done mate.

I will post an update after couple of match use. since its a dye and not a paint, hopefully(technically) it should not flake as it is supposed to penetrate the material, unlike the regular paint.
