I've got one which I'm thinking of selling, they're really good.

At the moment I'm stood up for approx 45 overs which is a long time to wear it. As we're now playing on better pitches I just use my cap for spinners and lid for seamers.

2 keepers at my club use them.They say they are much better than using a helmet.

Personally I couldn't think of anything worse. Love my old Masuri, great comfort and vision.

The only advantage of a helmet is protection from the batsman catching you with his follow through. I got hit on the top of the head last season, even wearing my helmet I felt a bit dizzy afterwards. Obviously this is fairly rare. I'd say use what ever you have best vision and you feel safe in.

Got it purely for keeping in the warmer months here usually 35 degrees plus and you tend to fry in a helmet, first impressions are peripheral vision is better over my matsuri lid.

i always like the idea of these but only keep for the odd game in the season but would much prefer this to a helmet as i always get too hot

I use one. Much cooler (temperature) than a helmet. You still sweat a bit and they are a little more difficult to position with your gloves on. I wear mine all the time (stood up and stood back) as I'm a klutz (plus I don't take my helmet off batting against spinners so.......).

The new one looks a bit better as they have removed the bar in the middle. This isn't a problem when playing but you are aware it is there. Don't get it confused with the baseball masks. They weigh a (metaphorical) tonne and aren't suitable for cricket.

Aero WK face guard is horrible to use. I bought one a few years back and hated it. Took it off after 10 minutes and never touched it again. Visibility was poor and was uncomfortable. Bought a Masuri WK lid straight after and have used it for last 3 years. Great for keeping and batting.
