Tipping the handle forward
« on: June 30, 2016, 08:08:28 PM »

Any thoughts on how tipping the handle forward would help the pick up weight of the bat, especially the low/mid profiled ones ?

I know @smilley792 has this done on some of his B3's to make up for the lack of bow, he'd be the man to ask I'd say :)

I think most bats are made with the handle tilted slightly forward. I guess it allows for the bow. The ones I've seen in bat factories are deliberately shaped to lean forwards when inserted into the splice.

I like an extreme bow on bats, something b3 don't offer, this was there offering and I took it.

I've also had bats with no now and no handle tilt. Imo The bowed and tilted handle bats do pickup better, but why is beyond my knowledge, best of speaking to bat makers regarding.

Maybe the @The Doctor can help?

Most batmakers tilt the handle forward following the bow of the blade as this enhances the position of the hands giving a lighter pick up
