I actually quite like it, but agree that the bow tie and the blocky looking graphics aren't great. I think the colourway is to my taste , but it is a shame the shape doesn't seem to resemble the old Predator based on the leaked catalogue pics. :-[ That being said, if I could get Hales' bats, I wouldn't really care much about the bow tie, you don't see it when you play a shot anyways!

I quite like it. Raise your chin, adjust your bow tie, go out to bat. Quintessentially Victorian...

I went to Lorimers in Bishop Auckland, they showed me some of the new range including the sabre, a bat that I can't remember the name of but another new thing for 2017 is the legend duffel bag

The reality is that the blocky text is there to show up on tv and in photos.
It worked for GM, SS Ton and others copied them fast. If you don't like it GN have the prestige/vintage/legend traditional branded bats. Something for everyone.

Kookaburra moved their logo to middle of the sticker in 2016. GN introduced big block text. I think both are right moves to promote their brand on television.

I would like gray nics to just go with "GN" as their tag and make it super big like GM and SS.

I would rather bat makers laser etch their logos/branding instead of putting stickers on bats. Stickers add weight. Why not give consumers more willow for their money.

Because laser etching doesn't stand out so much on telly and in photographs, the stickers are as much about adverting as they are design

If anything the stickers are far more about advertising for the main brands than anything else - yeah they need to look half decent but they also need to be noticed to make sales, kids will buy almost anything if Root/Stokes/Cook et al are using them

Just look at NB, GM, Grays, Kook, Adidas, Puma etc etc - all have their name/logo right across the middle of the face

You have nailed it Buzz. However, a real shame. If it was in the original shape and stickers, it would have been an instant purchase. Memories of Ramps smashing people around the ground. Not sure on the new bowtie format.

PS an after thought but wonder if any of the forum sponsors can get these with the original stickers?

The new GN Aus stickers look so much better for ditching the black infills and bow tie

Not a bad bat launch this for GN...

The Predator 3 and what looks to be England's highest ODI score in history from Hales!

Hi all

Does anyone know if the training clothing range will be changing or will it be the same blue & black templates?

Hi all

Some items have been available in green maroon or red for a while

The shorts, hoody and I think sweatpants will be in green as well as navy or black for 2017
