Sam Billings Ridiculous Nemesis
« on: July 06, 2016, 09:23:15 AM »

Saw an interview with Sam on the ECB Facebook and he was showing them one of his sticks. The sheer size of it is ridiculous and something that I wouldn't mind getting made, just to see how it does play. Needless to say they are absolute monsters and it's not surprising that he can clear ropes with ease.

Here is that interview: https://youtu.be/VCl6rzG8dAg

That is definitely not a bat made for your Kane Williamson dab to third man @Sivlar13  :D

Sometimes you have to clear the ropes before dabbing down to third man haha

He says "2lb 10oz, but they pick up like 2lb 7oz or 2lb 8oz". I've never picked up a Nemesis that feels light. Doesn't help the "Big bats aren't bad" argument though.

Just a massive bat with all the wood in the hitting area, why not get it introduced into test cricket we already have the kaboom, so why can't we have the nemesis as well

huuge bat but to be critical and its hardly a big issue but the dedicated nemesis stickers were much better and stood out much more this just looks like a mangled powerbow

I normally like innovative shapes but that thing looks like it fell off Optimus Prime. All those straight lines look ugly to my eyes.

They're a funny looking bat yes, but god do they go!

Interesting that, comparing Billings' to mine, looks like he's using an even more extreme version of the original profile, whereas the ones for sale now look like they've been toned down a bit.

Going to go to Hunts county next week and speak to them about making me a replica of this, going to see if that middle part could be a good 50mm. Worth a go!!

Toe looks like about 20mm, wouldn't last two minutes with the way I dig Yorkers out

Does look an extreme shape, kinda like it in an overly aggressive way

If they say yes, please let me know! Picked one up off here before this season mainly just out of curiosity and I can't let go of the thing, such a nice bat. Definitely thinking of getting a slightly tweaked replica made for next year.
