RNS bats from facebook
« on: July 11, 2016, 05:37:24 PM »

I saw a couple of RNS bats on the weekend that were bought through Facebook/Whatsapp. All looked stunning but interestingly they had sent stickers on the side instead of applying them on the bats. Didn't get to checkout the stickers but does something seem fishy here?

The whole buying bats off an anonymous Facebook account under the name RNS (and presumably paying via PayPal gift) doesn't seem right to me, but he who dares wins and all.

It's quite legit. They send you invoices and bats are at par with SS etc. Got 2 already and worth every penny.

They are legit. Have bought some from past. It depends if you was shown bat without stickers then that's what you get and stickers sent separate if you want to put them on. Or you can tell them you want the stickeres on and they also sell some bats which are already stickered up.

The account is legit- run by one of the people who work at RNS

The bats on the other hand - shorter lives with lots more breakage compared to their normal retail stock. Not sure if its more dry or rejects (OLS style) or a mix. Expect no warranty either -had a  mate's bat split into two in the very first month (storm damage most probably) and after a few exchange promises nothing happened.

If you consider it worth a gamble do oil it a few times before knocking in. With those its a lot of super hit or a super miss-no in between. Good luck.

Definitely come across as dry. Haven't put any work into the one I have yet but will need some oil for sure.

RNS bats are definitely on the drier side. I got a 2lb8oz bat with full profile. As long as you are middling with the bat, it would be quite the performer. If you are trying to block yorkers in a consistent fashion then the toe is going to give up in a few months.
