Released today he's been diagnosed with cancer!

Hope he can fight this hard and recover soon! Awful disease that has took far to many of my family.

Thoughts echoed. Horrible disease that affects way too many sufferers and their families and friends. Get well soon Carbs

As a Hampshire fan from birth, coupled with the fact I think I may be his number one fan, I am gutted by the news. This touches a nerve, as I'm sure it does with all of us here in some way.

I'm absolutely gutted for Carbs. He is one of the nicest blokes you will ever meet.

He's overcome serious illness before, so let's hope he can do so again.

One of my absolute favourite cricketers . Gutsy , earned respect on last tour of Oz . His comments on Sky during ipl showed his likeable personality and cricket brain . His Viv Richards impersonation is superb and shows an observant mind aswell as a great sense of humour . I wish him well , hope to see him back asap .

Can't Believe this! Absolutely gutted for him! Hope he make a full and speedy recovery would love to see him ya his destructive best again but doubt that'll happen now I fear another career cruelty cut short :(
