Yes, they're local to me

Used to be bargain bats from a local maker, prices are up their with the big boys now so they aren't as appealing to me personally.

Decent sticks but there are better value for money options out there.

Good mate of mine picked up a cheap Volante R4 recently and bugger me it's a nice bat, haven't got hands on many Chases before but instantly made me want one.

Many thanks, of those that have used them, how would they compare to other makers, as in which would they be most similar to in feel, handle shape etc?

I played with a Chase bat a few years ago. It was borrowed from a team mate. Awesome balance and pickup, but that doesn't mean all Chase bats must be very good.
IMO, Brand Name hardly matters. It's all about how the bat feels in hands.

Many thanks for your thoughts, and whilst I completely agree, regarding bat feel, there is in my experience are large degree of difference between brands in levels of consistency, and quality of their best offerings. Given that I will be buying blind, I was wondering on the experiences of others to gauge the potential quality of their bats and the likelihood of a purchase being good.

Had a team mate purchase one a month back as it had a very low middle. Was a G2 and the performance was amazing and it's his match bat now. Has a lovely middle. Very impressed by it.

To be honest I don't know the Chase range. It has black and red stickers.

That'll be the Volante, I do like the shape of that!

Overall sounds positive, will have pop by when funds allow. Overall it seems that there is a preference for the volante, is that mostly aesthetic or down to performance?

I would imagine preference is due to shape - which does contribute to performance. it's more traditional with little concaving.
