What's interesting about this match? Two of the best English keepers of the last 20 years that were rather messed around by England as they looked for a Gilchrist....

Michael Bates, still rate him as the best keeper I've seen, given the opportunity he would have been the best ever but just couldn't score a run.

Double agree on this. Met him the other week at Ageas, came over all fan boy (must have been the Marlborough I was quaffing in the Players Bar)

Lovely chap as well, shame as he's miles ahead of Wheater. McManus looks a very good prospect though
