I've seen them at GCCC. They're nice but $1k + for a bat is crazy...

Yes please.

Although I'm still not sure about the "Limited Edition" tag. For me, something is only "limited" by a finite number, like the B&S GP 274, 1 of 100.

Absoloutly fine about paying a hefty premium if I can guarantee that only 100 people in the world have one.

Big bat for a 2.10!! But as others have mentioned, $1000 for a bat is ridiculous no matter how good the wood is.

Well, I for one cant seem to understand this concept of exclusivity when the whole purpose of getting a bat is to use it in a match. If i were a collector, i would have been more than happy to pay a premium price for anything exclusive, but take out the concept of exclusive, all you get is a good looking bat that may or not perform. Take the same $ to a custom bat maker we have here, and i am sure what you would get in return would be atleast as good a product as the ones sold as exclusive bats .

I tapped one up at GCCC yesterday and must say i was pleasantly surprised at how well it responded... for the money you would want it to perform, I suppose! They are much better than i expected.

Like this bat?

So poorly publicised and there is no indication on the bat itself or a fancy cover. GCCC gave him a generic Spartan cover.

The ones I picked up were huge bats. Beautiful grain structure too. There can't be too many huge, clean clefts like this floating around so I'd say the exclusive label and price tag are justified.

Ah, so they are limited by number, thanks for that. I feel slightly better about them now. However, as you say there's nothing on the bat to say "1 of 100", so it looks like any other GN Supernova "LE" et al.

Also sad that he didn't get a fanfare with trumpets and confetti and such when they rung the sale through. Also sad that you're given the option to pay a little extra for a toe guard! As if $1300NZD isn't enough.

Some people don't like toe guards. Id rather not have one.

Just seen on PDC that they have the new Limited Edition TC1260 on Pre-Order.

And at £585, they're an absolute bargain given that the DC1080 Limited Edition above was $1300NZD (£738.80 today according to Google)

I'm sure they'll be lovely sticks... but... who's making them as I'm sure they won't be made in an Indian factory along with the rest of them?!
