Garrard & Flack TCB Collection
« on: August 27, 2016, 06:47:08 AM »

Hi All.

We were going to save this until next week but decided we couldn't hold it back any longer.

We have been working with Garrard & Flack for a short while now and between us decided it would be nice to have a TCB Collection range of bats. Each bat has its own individual number (Bat Zero and One have already been taken) and each is completely custom. We will be ordering in small amounts of stock bats which will be available to purchase via our website (handmade section) or we offer a full custom option via our website.

This one is a Supreme grade and is available at £250 (RRP £300) + postage.

Weight - 2lb 11 1/8oz (with 2 grips on)
Edges - 32mm approx
Toe - 32mm approx
Spine - 73mm approx
Handle - SH (Round top, oval bottom)

Enjoy, and get them quick while they are still in single figure numbers.

Having been and met the boys at garrard & flack, they are a good pair of boys who have a passion for making bats, as a hobby and do s fine job!

Interesting profile, any chance of a comparison vs something else you've in stock at the same weight - say a Aldred Spectre?  Cheers

@Drupy01 it is a massive toe.

@Ams4287 here are the spec comparisons with an Aldred Spectre:

Garrard & Flack                                               Aldred Spectre

Weight - 2lb 11 1/8oz (with 2 grips on)               2lb 11 5/8oz (one grip)
Edges - 32mm approx                                      34mm approx
Toe - 32mm approx                                         26mm approx
Spine - 73mm approx                                      66mm approx

Here they are side by side

Those edges on the Aldred are surely bigger?

Those edges on the Aldred are surely bigger?

It's likely due to the G&F bat having more rounded edges, squared off edges give the impression of a bigger bat (same as a square face vs rounded face etc)

It appears a bit narrow due to the spine being so high and the profile so full. Lovely stick, though!

Here are a couple more bats that we have just received from the lads at Garrard & Flack (Part of the TCB collection). Bat One is their top of the range bat and has already sold. Bat Three is the next grade down (Supreme) and is available for £250 via our website - http://www.thecricketboutique.co.uk/garrard--flack---tcb-collection-bat-three-2lb-9-34oz-1314-p.asp

I have also tagged a couple of pictures of their new softs on here. These will be available online shortly for £75 Pads, £60 Gloves.

I have just found out that bat ONE has now become available as it is not the right profile for the person that ordered it. You could grab a piece of TCB history.

If anyone is interested the bat weighs 2.9 5/8 and has 14 nice straight grains. Its £300 delivered (In the UK).

Drop me a message if interested.

Played against the creators/founders of G&F this season, whole of their side had them. They didn't necessarily score heaps of runs against us but their opener managed to ping a few away to the boundary nicely and the bats did look great. The addition of the Softs looks magnificent, very classy! Nice to see a half local brand doing well and creating nice gear. Sadly out of my price range though  :(

The Guys at G&F are producing some quality bats and the softs are up there too.
