PURIST II Original LE
« on: August 29, 2016, 02:24:55 AM »

Just thought I'd share some pictures of an old Purist II LE that I was given to repair, unfortunately I wasn't thinking too far ahead and didn't take any before shots, the bat was pretty banged up, there was a pretty nasty split from the toe, up the middle of the blade for about 5cm and it had spead across to the edge. Fix is about 65% completed, I've still got to superglue the superficial surfaces of the major cracks to seal them up then more sanding and wax ect..

Long story short, every Purist I've picked up has been a belter, and this is no different at all. such a beautiful profile, incredibly well made and it pings everywhere. I can safely say that this is as good if not better than any modern bat I've used.

All thoughts, refurb tips, and general Purist info or stories are welcome!

Purist is one of the best profiles ever. The only  reason I didn't  hold on to mine was weight, it is almost impossible to achieve that fullness in 2.6, 2.7

I would have thought that shape be possible at 2lb 7oz - just not every single one.
