« on: August 30, 2016, 09:16:28 PM »

Im soon to buy a go pro (hero 4 silver) as soon as i get my cash from work! What accesories do you find work best? I was thinking of buying...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UA1XC1I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_QCFXxb4Z1G897

Along with 2 64GB samsung class 10 micro SD cards

How long does a typical battery last? Any more thoughts?

I have a pack similar to the one you mentioned, although the tripod broke after taking a ball directly.

Battery life depends on res you're filming at etc, I generally get an hour and a bit at a time. Worth buying a couple more, can't remember the third party brand but they sell them in bunches and a charger.

I have a Swift Ghost HD. I use the wrist remote to pause and get around 3hrs of footage with one battery.

I bought a similar pack of accessories from amazon, most of it was good quality but the pole / handle bar attachment broke on first use and the selfie pole was crap as it wouldn't hole the camera upright.

Give it all a good check when you get it, not while you're away skiing like I was.

Check your computer is good enough for editing too

I have a Hero 2 and a hero 4 silver.

I have the Motorsport suction mount, a chest mount, a helmet/head mount, handle bar mount and many other things that came with the cameras. All in good condition and working well.

I have an extra suction mount, a pole and other stuff I bought cheap from eBay and Amazon, all suck and all are broken.

You buy cheap you buy twice. Look for good reviews.

Yep understood for top quality and security third party parts won't be best option. But without a motorbike i doubt i'll be getting myself into that mischief.

Would you be able to locate the name of the third party battery you use? I have been recommended one already also.

I got that pack, everything has been good so far that I have used. I think I have hit the camera about 15 times now.
