An elephant in the room
« on: September 02, 2016, 04:08:26 AM »

Just got notification from Matt that my custom Surridge Jumbo a like is close to completion. If I can figure how to get pictures up via the IPad I will.

Nice! Use photo bucket mate, use the forum search function and it'll bring you to the instruction thread

Brief was weight unimportant, but as the Jumbo is not large by modern standards I'm guessing 2 10 max, it may get a run out in Japan this October

Are there any pics from Matt, or will they appear when the bat is safe in your hands?

Really looking forward to seeing the profile.

No photos so far, need to get on photo bucket. I've got a 3lb H4L part made tooth pick that I shaped signed by Mike Gatting I'd like to share. Pictures of him signing it are on shanghaicricket.com.0

Reading stuff like this makes me think the over the top charges we have to pay in the UK aren't so bad after all...

First bat I ever imported had a hole drilled in the toe, checking for drugs was the explanation. A black widow which surprisingly split through the toe.0

So the wait is over, nearly parallel edges 18 mm at toe via 22 near the middle to 16 at the shoulder, the coin is1rmb so roughly 10p in size, trampoline ping wise. Matt didn't include the run guarantee in the box though.

Can you find drugs in imported bats? I'm feeling like my Sunday afternoon could do with livening up...

If you can those £50 CAs are looking even more of a bargain! I always assumed the white powder that came out when the handles snapped was wood filler though...
