Chris Rogers retires form all cricket, 76 first class hundred including 2 in his last game hopefully he can cap it with a championship win which would be fitting! Would have loved to have seen him get more chances with Australia as he clearly had the ability,

Not many Aussies I've liked seeing get runs in ashes but he is one I always liked to see get runs!

Truly fantastic player and hard done by to only get 25 matches for Australia. But his record in England, for a foreign player, is magnificent. 10,000+ runs at over 50. Now if he gets his mitts on the County Championship trophy it would be the fitting farewell

It's looking more and more like Somerset will win it and a great ending for a terrific pro, and tresco,leach,hildreth etc...

something pretty remarkable in the middx-yorks match needs to happen. It's not looking that way.

Someone needs to get him into their coaching ranks a.s.a.p - he's the type that makes a good batting coach . He has the intelligence to pass on his cricket psychology re temperament.  He was limited in shot making ability and (at the highest level) not as gifted as many others , but he constructed a disiplined , simple game plan and maximized his potential......that is what you need as a batting coach because those skills can actually be passed on .

Youre spot on there and may explain why the better batting coaches are not automatically the best players.

Your right Carlo that's what batting is all about disaplined  simple game plan playing the shots you know your capable of anything else is a getting yourself out shot.
