Here is a few pics of a refurb iv completed today. Not the best pics as only got an old iPad to take them at present
The bat is an octane Original I bought from the forum. The main damage was spike marks etc on the rear of the bat. Scuff sheet was coming away and just needed some TLC
Firstly removed the grading sticker, F2 sticker and octane edge stickers. Then cut the old scuff sheet away from the main GM stickers as they are put on over the top of the scuff.
One thing with GM bats being the first iv refurbed is the scuff is so tacky once removed I guess not designed to be removed easily
Bat then sanded using 120 then 240 grade sand paper on the blade, back and edges a couple of small cracks that I didn't know where there until scuff removed were glued and sanded as well
Bat then hand sanded with 400 and 600 grit sand paper to get final finish quality. Oiled using Salix bat wax and new GM control grip applied
Looking good and ready to go
