Although I agree in someways, I can't help think that if aus had Mitchell starc, 9 or if 10 times sa wouldn't have got near this total.

As for steyn, he is a great and will go down as one, but five years ago steyn wouldn't have gone for anywhere near that amount of runs.
He's not quite what he was currently.

But as they say, you can only play against the 11 on the field, and kudos to anal de kock and Miller, they chased well!
Not strictly true. Steyn was outstanding in the Tests against New Zealand. Lots of pace and swing. In ODI cricket Steyn's Test match line and length is what the batsmen look to flog around. Not really sure why Steyn bothers with white ball cricket, if he says fit he can easily get up to 550 Test wickets.

I agree with this - would love to see Steyn continue in Test cricket.......one of the greats of our generation!

Well, he's no Darren Pattinson, but I take your point.

Quiet in Here!

Davy Warner smashing 173! Massive innings last night.

Shame rest of aid didn't show up and sa white washed them 5-0.

You can say no starc etc, but there was no de villiers either!

Great knock by Warner yesterday but I'm still not convinced by Mitchell Marsh. I'm certainly glad England have Stokes as he would win the Ashes 'war of the allrounders' right now  :)

Very please for South Africa that they managed to pull off this series win. Australia, even missing some key players, should not be happy getting white washed by a South Africa team without ABDV, as well as Amla at times. Series provided an opportunity for some South Africa fringe players to show what they worth. Not often South Africa gets to beat the Aussies 5 - 0.

David Warner was also a class apart from the other Australian batsmen. Was given a life yesterday on 11 and took full advantage of it!

Thank goodness from video streaming so that I could follow it from the US!
