Is that in its current state? If so by the time you have added binding, stickers, grips and scuff sheet it's going to be 2.13 or so. Still a big bat but not as impressive at that at fully dressed

If they drill them out like they do with the Turbo then that's how they loose an extra 2-3oz.

Mine is working very well. It's making my Laver Ultra stay in my kit bag. It does have a distinct sound though.

Drilling holes in bats .....oh the memories ! I got inspired by the millichamp and hall signature way back in 93ish and drilled out holes in a g.n that was too heavy . Worked a treat , but even with 10 or more holes i reckon it only dropped .5-1 oz .

didn't realize how all of that can add up so quickly.

So really when you ask for a 2'9 bat you're effectively using a 2'5-2'6 bit of willow and the dressing makes up the last 3-4ozs?

Yep, all depends on how many stickers are used, thickness of the grip etc.  Lots of factors determine the final weight but you're about right for most makers I would say. It's why getting a big bat at 2.6-2.7 can be difficult as you are getting closer to the 2lb mark for a pre finished weight. 1oz can be a lot of willow

Which is why I no longer buy bats with stickets, toe guard, and scuff sheet. I request just the bat and one grip which means more wood in the bat and less frou-frou.
