Your Oldest Piece of Equipment still in regular use?
« on: October 13, 2016, 05:09:33 PM »

I've noticed how everyone on this forum loves acquiring shiny new gear, be it a custom bat, bargain sorts or new bag to fit it all in, it has got me wondering. What is your oldest bit of equipment that you still regularly use? And how old is it (if you can remember)?

Aero P2s that must be about 4 years old off the top of my head.
Most of the time my kit is lucky to last 4 months... :-[

My trusty Shock Dr, had it for maybe 10 years... Next up are my spiked trainers about 5 seasons old.

That I regularly use (if net/wet/indoor bat counts), would be the bat I've got a refurb thread on, a local shop brand called Phoenix (pretty sure it's a Hunts though). Thinking about it it's from 2012, not that old! Man that feels like a long time ago though.

As I started this thread I suppose I should contribute to it too.

My oldest bit of kit is my box, still using the first (& only) men's box so it's probably about 20-something years old

Toss up between the box and my aero strippers, that'll be changing for the new year though as I'm hoping to place an order for some new thigh pads that are less bulky

I have a slazenger fleece from the early 90's , and a team mate still wears a C & Q Rodeo cricket shirt from the 1980's.

I got rid of my old pink litesome box ( ala Bumble and Jeff Thompson ) in 2014 after wearing it since 1981. Lucky I had my two kids early!
