V600 Protege

A mate has just received a V600 Protege signed by Dickie Bird, which states "hand made in England" on the front sticker. He bid for it via a Wellington College UK auction, any ideas on age? Presuming that all bats are now India/Pakistan made? Or maybe the sticker is fake.

Slazenger (like many major brands) were made in the UK until some point in the relatively recent past, most brands moving the majority of production to India at some point either side of the Millennium. If its fairly old then theres every chance it was made in the UK.

A really good video of how Slazenger bats were made. Based on the stickers, I would say the video must be mid to late 90s?
