Jonny's Gloves
«

I noticed Jonny Barstow is wearing different gloves since the last time I saw him play. I think the old ones were the Legends and these must be the Predators.
I don't know why the Omega XRD's have been discontinued, seemed like a really good idea with the new grip. I did find them a bit too wide which meant a lot of cross over of the gloves but otherwise very light and flexible.
Anyone know why or dislike the XRD's?

Never used them myself but I was led to believe the funky new grip did not last too long

Also on Day 2 he had to tape up the GN logos. Pressing issues from the ICC...

Even with the Legends that he wore over the summer, he did that. Never understood why.

Yes he's keeping in the new Predators, presumably the LE model.
I'm not aware of him ever using the XRDs and i think the Legends he wore were specially made for him with a normal palm. I'm guessing he's a fan of traditional when it comes to his WK gloves.

Sorry I know Bairstow didn't use them, but I saw a few pros with them. Just from my own experience the Legends wore out much quicker than the XRDs but I do understand they don't have a traditional feel which I guess many people like.
I'm just watching the highlights, looks like Jonny is back in the Legends today. Must have sweated through a few pairs!
