Australia vs South Africa Test series
« on: November 02, 2016, 02:44:33 PM »

So the first Test starts in the early hours of tomorrow in Perth. Peter Siddle has been recalled for the Australian after Jackson Bird was axed because his batting is too poor  :o

For South Africa there's no AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis will retain the captaincy. For South Africa the final bowling is between the returning Morne Morkel or debutant spinner Keshav Maharaj.

Australia 1 David Warner, 2 Shaun Marsh, 3 Usman Khawaja, 4 Steven Smith (capt), 5 Adam Voges, 6 Mitchell Marsh, 7 Peter Nevill (wk), 8 Mitchell Starc, 9 Peter Siddle, 10 Josh Hazlewood, 11 Nathan Lyon.

South Africa (possible) 1 Stephen Cook, 2 Dean Elgar, 3 Hashim Amla, 4 Faf du Plessis (capt), 5 Temba Bavuma, 6 JP Duminy, 7 Quinton de Kock (wk), 8 Vernon Philander, 9 Dale Steyn, 10 Kagiso Rabada, 11 Keshav Maharaj/Morne Morkel.

It's a load of s**t that BT aren't showing the full test over in the UK but rather only having a hour highlights show. If it was on Sky the whole thing would have been shown, every session, every ball.

As you can tell I'm mega peeved about this especially when I have to pay extra for BT (which I'm not going to do)

BT have paid £80m for all of Australia's cricket to be televised live, they've even paid Ricky Ponting enough to live here in the UK to do coverage...

My bad, I didn't know there was such a thing as BT Sport 3! I only thought they had the 2 channels plus BT ESPN.

I thought his punditry during the Ashes series was exceptional, so it's fine by me.

Urgh I'm just so pi**ed off with Mr Murdock paying over the odds for stupid EPL games and now other sports are suffering because of the money spent. I wish there was just a cricket specific channel or couple of channels that showed every type of cricket from all over the world. I'm gonna have to find a way of watching it through other methods if you know what I mean haha

Should be an interesting series given the sledging during the odi's.

Clarke and haddin have also said to cut the sledging out - the irony coming from those 2 blokes. Rod Marsh and Lehmann having a go at khawaja, nice way to go.
