I was a couple of hours too slow on this onehttp://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SCREAMING-CAT-PROFESSIONAL-CRICKET-BAT-MILLICHAMP-HANDCRAFTED-CUSTOM-EDITION-/201713583850?nma=true&si=N4pEM%252FJuV4hZJXeh4O%252FMVCVOVaE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
I hope the new owner appreciates it

That's some statement from him lol..

"Julian is since retired and was one of only 6 people in the world that hand crafts willow cricket bats. "

Maybe out of the larger brands. But statement does not take into consideration some small brands I would say!!

He should have used someone's facility or rented a small corner in there to keep whittling the bats if there is such a high demand of his work.

I think he tried a very hard route in hopes of huge donations to pour in so that he could pass on his skills by, I dunno, establishing bat making schools in India or whatever it was.

There wasn't a huge demand for his bats, they didn't retail very well at all and obviously wasn't worth it in the end for him to keep going.

I think their stock has risen since he's ceased making them as they are obviously harder to get hold of now in a decent condition.

They were v expensive when he was making them from memory when it came to getting them to the UK at £550 which was why they usually inc a free set of gloves with them to sweeten the deal. Back in 2010 that type of money was huge for G1 bats!

He should start making these again as a limited edition. Like 50 bats every year. i am sure people will pay more than the warner bat.

I can understand if people want the bat for collection purposes,  but for all practical purposes,  bats on the market now are better performing.  And yes,  I owned one and used it extensively,  and gave it away to someone on this forum

Agree 100%. Guy i net with has had a few scats but nothing compares to the warner players he is using.  He is hitting the ball harder than i have ever seen anyone hit it.
