The ball will swing more in New Zealand. I think Amir will have a much better series than England even if the fielders drop catches.

I am curious to see how Mohammad Amir fares. He has flashes of brilliance but haven't had the same venom for which he was termed as a prodigy.

He has had enough time so should be fine now. PCB has invested a lot in him so they can rightfully expect results.

NZ will probably only need 4 days. Of recent, matches haven't gone the full 5 days anyway

Interesting... not even giving Pakistan a glimmer of hope?

None whatsoever, Pakistan have not played in conditions with a swinging ball in a very long time (And no I don't count their last tour of England as typical English conditions given most of the pitches were flat)

Wow Kane won a toss! About flipping time.

Can't believe Henry isn't playing, the extra pace would definitely trouble them

Very very impressed with the openers so far. If they can see off the new ball the middle order should be able to do reasonably well. Scoring 300+ would be great for batting confidence!

Fair to say we've bowled pretty poor in the first hour given the conditions. Southee all over the shop

Pakistan have also done well given they've had no match practice.

4 down! Pretty poor shot from younis. Not a bad debut for the medium pacer, couldn't ask for a better pitch mind you.
One more before lunch  :D
