Poor Misbah, 42 years young and still being typecast in this boy on the burning deck role.

Best figures on debut by a kiwi. Well done Grandhomme.

Nz 3 down already. Another failure for Taylor.

Even with one day washed out this test is moving at a quick pace. Great debut for granthomme - who needs pace?
Don't think the nz pacers bowled particularly well at times though. A few other sides like England and South Africa would have knocked Pakistan over for under 100 in these conditons

Pitch should get easier to bat on in the 4th innings and probably get quicker

3 front foot no balls from amir with 2 in one over. Gheez makes you wonder
Raval showing he should have been selected a couple of tours ago instead of guptil

De Grandhomme having a good game at this stage. 6 for 41 and currently on 24 with the bat

Pitch looks like it's quickened up on day 3. Pakistan's morning, they've done really well getting back into this. Lead is 67 which is pretty big on this pitch.

New Zealand 77/2 when the heavens opened. Pakistan inserted the hosts on a green top but proceeded to bowl far too and far too wide. Latham and Williamson didn't last long. But Raval and Taylor feasted merrily on the flith being sent down. Pakistan axed Yasir.

I don't think the edges are even that bog(more a thin edge Warner profile). Yet they still went miles!!

Looks like Pakistan's very good record in NZ is coming to an end.

Its a shame they didn't give themselves a better chance. One warm up game, which was washed out, seems like very little preparation for the conditions they were about to face.

I do think Pakistan are going to struggle massively in Oz too. As this trip wouldn't have done much for their confidence. and I feel the aussies are going to be like a wounded tiger after their SA humbling.

Didn't taylor need that 100. Personally would have dropped him but hearing his eyesight has gone and needs surgery.

Pakistan don't know what pace to bat at and the bowlers haven't done great. Amir has been ok but given the conditions should have done better.

Don't think pakistan will be able to block out for a day, but never know. Bit of rain might help them

Pak has been very poor with the bat. Some very ordinary shots leading to their demise.

First test, thought they were genuinely unlucky with the weather and toss

This test, no such excuse.

would be a mental boost if they salvage a draw tomorrow
