unfortunately in the modern game you pick a batsmen who can keep so keeping standards have gone down I think over past 15 years as keepers cannot put the time in they once did as they need to work on batting just as much

I like Sarfraz and would prob pick him as love the fight/unorthodoxness  and good gloveman from what I have seen

But modern wise its between YJB and QDK

All time only 1 man for me and that's Jack Russell best keepers I ever saw

For me its Buttler in the shorter forms and between QDK and YJB in the longer form. Buttler wins games and I havent seen enough of QDK to give him the ODI/T20 position.

Not quite sure how there's any comparison between de Kock and Bairstow TBH. Bairstow scored loads of runs but his record is padded up by filling his boots against the dreadful Sri Lankan side that rocked up in that early part of the summer. IIRC de Kock was recalled to the South African side after they'd gone 9 matches without a win. Bairstow averages 41 and de Kock 55. There's no real comparison. Then factor in de Kock is a sensational keeper whereas Bairstow isn't even as good as Buttler.

Watling is a very tidy keeper and seems to go under the radar a little. Watched him in the test series in Windies a few years back on pitches that were turning square, some of the catches he took up to the stumps were unbelievable, he can bat a bit too. Anyone mentioning YJB even in the top 5 keepers in the world is off their head, and i'm a Yorkie. He's not even the best at Yorkshire

Reckon Nixon would run these two close. Although, admittedly his not a current player.

For me it has to be Quinton DeKock. Playing out of his skin in tests and has a wonderful ODI record to boot. Plus his glove work has been amazing. Reckon he is the best keeper standing back.
