A Cook
Williamson (c)
Root
Kohli
Younis Khan
De Kock (w)
Stokes
Ashwin
Starc
Rabada
Shah

I think a seamer plus stokes attack is perfect
And then in Ashwin and Shah, 2 world class spinners.

And threw in the grit and steel of Younis Khan...! A true fighter  :D

Warner
Root
Kohli
Smith
Stokes
De kock
Ashwin
Starc
Rabada

That's ten, who would for me start and play any test anywhere.!

The last bowling spot depends on conditions,
Green tops - Anderson
Spin - mehedi

Amla and Williamson in the squad as back up batsmen.

No Abv as well he doesn't seem to play test cricket anymore. Not sure what the official line is but perosonaly think the politics have driven him out.

No steyn as he's injured and in my opinion done. He won't come back the steyn we once loved.

Mehedi is a shout after 2 tests on absolute burners

Have used the icc rankings as a guide for my team...

Cook
Warner
Williamson
Root
Smith
Stokes (bias here)
YJB
Ashwin
Hereth

I would have Kohli over Smith, and Rabada over Steyn.

I agree, but the rankings say otherwise.

KG has only played 10 tests, and Steyn looks finished.
