Mehedi is a shout after 2 tests on absolute burners

I contemplated dropping Warner for hameed.......

The mehedi kids new, batsmen/coaches don't know him so hard to prepare for, and it'd be a Bunsen I'd be selecting him for. So why not.

KG has only played 10 tests, and Steyn looks finished.
Steyn was far from finished in the WACA Test was he? He was clocking up near 93mph. He simply redamaged his shoulder. If he came back in that Test and bowled 80mph then he might've 'been finished'. Bowling that rapidly proves he's along way from finished.

But that's another big injury in a year. I don't care what he clocked - have you not heard about raging against the dying of the light. I am for the young thruster, not someone who picks a Glamorgan pension boost over international cricket.

And Mitchell J was still bloody sharp when he decided he was done.

To be fair, he played for Glamorgan because he didn't feel he needed the rest that he was being forced to take.

This cheered me up after a miserable day.... Its all about opinions but Smith "flat track bully" over Ben Stokes at 6???   And Amala to open?? you still watching those re runs of Amala from 3 years ago Felix???  I could go on and seriously question a few of your other selections but I am sure your just being a WUM....

How is Amla anywhere near a current world eleven? His last 7 test/ODI innings have yielded 123 runs at an average of 17.5....

I picked Amla because after nearly 100 matches he has an average of 50, couple with runs in pretty much all conditions. And his beard is epic.

Anderson over Rabada and if if its all playing conditions Yasir over Ashwin.
Yasir Shah is average. In England he took a 10fer and a 5fer yet still got pummelled. His average was over 40. Ashwin bats and bowls

Rabada bowling at 90+mph gets in ahead of Anderson. Starc is the swing bowler anyway in my side...he also launches them down at 90+mph.

Of Root's 11 Test 100s only 3 are away from home. Smith has more distribution between home/away 100s. Smith wins.

I doubt Steyn will be going penny less anytime soon, his career ipl earnings are in excess of $7m
