A note on behalf of the committee at Long Melford CC, near Sudbury in Suffolk. We are very keen to add to our player roster and, ahem, start to bring down the average age of our sides next season. For any interested players in the area of West Suffolk / Essex borders - specifically Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Sudbury, Melford even possibly Colchester and Braintree - we would love to hear from you.
Our ground is beautiful, the tracks are hard and fast with plenty for both batters and bowlers. We have 3 bays of artificial net, a bowling machine, a pro coach for 2017 and a decent enough pavilion with Nethergate Brewery ales on tap. We put out 2 sides on Saturday (Marshall Hatchick league Divs 3 and 6) and 2 on Sunday (Hunts County Bats league, Divs 2 and 3), and we are planning to start up a local T20 league on Weds / Thurs evenings.
