I know exactly how much that can cost, especially if you hires petrol scarifiers ect...  hopefully it doesn't rain alot or get too cold! and it can repair itself.

Very clever.

What has to go so wrong in someone's life where callously spoiling someone else's property/enjoyment brings them entertainment.

We got our own machines but the grass won't grow till march so makes it very hard to get the pitches ready for the first games in April

Gutted for you! Absolutely disgraceful! Hope you can find out and prosecute whoever did it and hope the square recovers quickly in the spring.

You will be amazed what Mother Nature can do mate, if we get some mild weather next few weeks it should be ok, maybe worth putting on FB and asking if a groundsmen from one of the big Kent clubs can offer advice on what to do to help repair it mate as loads of Kent clubs have full time pro groundsmen, not knocking anyone at your clubs ability but your local cricket community may offer help and advice for free.

Bloody scum bags around complete Knobs who do this kind of stuff for fun

It is indeed mindless, hopefully with a few hands to the pump its not as bad as it looks...
We ve had 2 break in to our bar this winter, about 50 quids worth of vodka taken and 500 damage to the metal shutters.
And last year our wood sightscreen was kicked in-all around it were empty cider cans
Sadly its not uncommon this damage

We had similar damage to the outfield a couple of years ago, fortunately they avoided the square because of the poles and rope.

But last week someone stole the poles and rope - not sure why as cant imagine they are worth much.

Gutted for you mate, best of luck with the repair. We are lucky to have a gate across the driveway which stops people driving onto the field, but we still get kids tearing out the fence around the square and using the posts as javelins. A sad picture of society. As someone said earlier, call out to the local groundskeeping community, I would recommend golf course groundsmen as well as cricket, they have great experience of ground under repair. I reckon you could still make a big difference if you put some hours in before it gets really cold.

More annoying is the damage done to the fence they cut down so that will cost the club money to put right all for like you say five minutes of fun
