Only going to be at 1st Slip and maybe turn my arm over now and again.

Am looking for Batting shoes tho, so might have a look for Leather ones...

Is there anything that is as wide as Asics on the market at present, consodering gel 100 not out, but haven't seen any reviews here.

I'm also on the market for a new pair of spikes. I am a batsman and fielder who will move around the field a lot patrolling the boundaries. I need a pair of spikes that will be be comfortable for the whole duration of the innings and be extremely light too. I use to own asics gel advance 6. Are these still one of the lightest comifest shoes around? Also it seems to me at the moment asics haven't got 2017 range for the gel advance or gel Odi's? how would people compare these shoes to the puma or Sl22 boost???

Asics Gel Advance easily the best cricket shoes I've worn. I think they might be discontinued, or perhaps re-branded (The Gel Gullys look to be the most like the old Gel Advance, at least here is Aus), but do some research as there might be some previous season stock floating around at a reduced price. I got my Gel Advance 5s for $40 off compared to the 6, the only difference being the colourway, which is not a big deal.

Haven't looked at Puma for years.
I've not liked any of the Adidas boots as i've felt they were all on the chunky side.

If you're not bowling you can't go far wrong with the SL22 boosts. Really comfy light shoe either that or any of the Asics Range.

I bowl spin and wear sl22's . Great shoes . With my knees resembling those of a centenarian i am going to buy a 3rd pair ... ones for training . The cushioning and lightness is a godsend.
