Yeah, BT have the rights for the Ashes next year.

Just get BT Broadband & BT TV (Comes with free BT Sport) and keep Sky TV separate if you want both. I'm paying 27.50 per month for Broadband and 22.50 a month for Sky TV with Sky Sports.

If not, Kodi will do the job and be a lot cheaper.

Dude tell them you dont want to pay it, they will give you discount, i pay £30 basic entertainment package, broadband including line rental

anybody know how much beers are at the grounds? me and my mate are trying to work out how much spending money we will need for 2 test matches

most grounds around $7.00 mid strength only, so if you are planning on having a few hit the pubs before/at lunch and after around the grounds

It will probably be schooner as well. Very disappointing. Although there are some fantastic beers, particularly in perth.

Can't remember the exact numbers off the top of my head but we had an email off Gullivers travel who specialise in sports packages and it was about £5k for the first two tests with all the travel and hotel! Would love to do it, hopefully the lottery comes in or Mr BetFred does me a favour!

Im sure you could get the prices down considerably from 5k by booking yourself. The mark up on package tours is huge the same as package holidays.

Can any of our aus-based friends give us an idea of ticket price/availability?

Return flights from heathrow are well under 1k.

5* Hotel 9 min taxi (Approx 10AUD) from MCG, 26-30th Dec, 403GBP per room (201.50GBP each)
5* Hotel 6 min taxi (Approx 10AUD) from SCG, 4-8th Jan, 561GBP per room (280.50GBP each)
Flights: LHR - MEL - SYD - LHR = 600GBP (Flights booked a week apart in Nov 17 as Dec flights not available to book yet.)

So, to get there and stay, call it 1100GBP each.

For what is a 5* two week holiday on the other side of the globe, that is bloody reasonable!

I thought as much.

The only positive I could see for going with a package provider is guaranteed match tickets. Are tickets likely to be available to the general public for the tests?
