You must have taken notice    your batting yesterday  was 4.4.4.2.2.2 you obviously needed a rest after each shot &  if i hadn't made you run those 3 two's we would have lost the game

I was actually thinking that last night haha

Yep went to the game!  Like the atmosphere,  though a bit to loud with the music at times.  Stars threw it away.  Getting 16 odd runs in the last 5 overs was poor and the choice of ball at the death wasn't clever.  Cutting had missed every slower ball,  so why not keep bowling it? No bowl a full pace half volley instead and watch it sail into the crowd.

Went to the game tonight. Shame Hobart made a complete hash of first 6 overs with the bat,  34-5 wasn't clever.  Even more disappointed with the Hobart spinners,  thought they would get more out of instead of sailing into the crowd.

You on tour Nick?

Pretty poor last over from pattinson

Pretty unforgivable giving a free hit away in the last over

For the amount of cricket pollard plays, his batting has gone backwards.

The one thing the aussies have got wrong is having the ODI series vs pak overlapping the BBL - weakens the tournament and can't imagine too many fans wanting to go to the ODI's.
Have your best international players available for the latter half of the tournament!

As we all know in club cricket,  if you play on a tricky deck send in somebody to mow it,  often works better than trying to bat properly!  I think hilfy surprised a lot of people in the ground,  especially when he was 7 off 11 and in danger of playing out a maiden. Good game and decent atmosphere.

40K at the MCG for a domestic game of cricket and not the Melbourne Derby, on a weekday as well. BBL has really taken off. The Heat are the side to beat with their big hitting, although Lynn being selected in the Aussie ODI squad will be a loss. The Stars are usually one of the teams most affected by national call-ups, but this year Maxwell aside, they should have their squad together. KP, Wright, Quiney, D.Hussey and Handscomb is pretty decent.

Crowds this year have been outstanding. Generally speaking, 40k+ or a sellout is the new norm. And this is, up until recently, without test players taking part. Mostly domestic cricketers. The competition is going from strength to strength and it's bloody brilliant to see.
