Making a helmet fit better
« on: December 28, 2016, 08:01:44 PM »

So I purchased one of those Shrey £7 helmets, and it seems decent, with a nice fit in terms of height. However, it's massive wish wise.

What's the best thing to put on the sides to make it fit more securely? DIY or otherwise?

Cheers in advance!

I took my foam inserts, took off the fabric, had my gf cut replcas in a thicker foam, and reglued the fabric.. Took a couple of hours, but works a charm.

Don't ayrtek sell the spare foam pads? If so I'd buy a set and maybe glue a couple together and fit them in

I do indeed, 6 size thickness sets in total in packs of 3. Youth version offers the thicker foams in 12, 15 and 18mm sets.

Cheers for the feedback guys. I took the foam from the back support thing, cut off those straps, cut the foam in half and put them on either side.

Annoyingly, the fits a bit tight at the moment, but sure it'll sort itself out after a few nets!
