£7 Shrey thoughts

Now we've all had a bit of time to wear them in, what do we all think about the £7 Shrey helmets?

I used mine for the first time tonight, and I fair dinkum hate it. The fit is fine but the grill is in such a rubbish position, maybe it's just my massive head.

Still not bad for 7 quid I guess.

Ive got an absolutely massive head and this is the first helmet I've picked up for over a year that actually fits me and the grill comes down past my lips  (ayrtek non fixed, gn fixed grills etc), so much so I've already taken the plunge on a masterclass air, hopefully they fit the same.

And ofcourse for £7 it's really hard to complain about anything

My XL was far too small for me so sold on.

Surprisingly small for an XL, but it just fits. Comfy enough but not a fan of the way the pad sits at the back, not helped by the ridiculously heavy grille pulling the front of the lid down all the time. As you say @Sivlar13 , grille is terrible! Feels like looking out through a postbox, it's mounted such a long way out.

So I did this with an old Masuri steel grille:


Much better, feels normal and vision is great. Quite a bit lighter even though it's still a steel grille. Haven't had a bat in it yet though, need to push the grille forwards before I do tbh, it's too close to my chin.
