My new Bellingham & Smith
« on: January 22, 2017, 03:16:47 PM »

Afternoon chaps,

On this lovely winter morning I had to go and see my good friend mr Du Plooy, as usual it was very difficult to leave empty handed and subsequently I didn't leave empty handed. One hand had a cricket bat in it, the other had some biltong.
I ended up purchasing one of the T20 special bats Gary currently has, it's a shortened blade, squared off toe, big profile.
It weighs 2-14 if I remember correctly, has 45mm edges and around 67mm spine. It's a big bat, picks up like a feather and performs superbly with a bit of ball bouncing and some LV mallet tapping!
Anyway for pictures

Cheers
Lee

Great shape of both bats. What is the weight on the other SH B&S bat in the pic.

Look at that beauty! I would never use this bat myself. I would just keep it for display. You must have paid fortune for it.

Lovely bats Tommo really like the fire blade profile but the white / silver embossed stickers look great! Do you have a supreme as well for a profile comparison? Any sign of the 2017 softs?

@tommo256, stunning piece of willow that! Huge profile and pure grains is a fantastic purchase. Stickers look clean as well. Slap that up on the Best Grains thread!
