Cricket bat stickers
« on: January 30, 2017, 03:54:18 PM »

Hello all, so recently out of boredom I decided that my new project would be designing a set of cricket bat stickers, and after remembering how much I used to love Grant Elliott's old black/gold Buzz Bats design I figured I'd start by doing my own design for his previous brand. So after a couple of hours on Illustrator teaching myself how to use it I came up with a design I was happy enough to send to him on twitter -> https://twitter.com/KylePittmaniac/status/825389197204787200. This actually led to the legend himself following me and then sending me a follow up DM to commend me on the design but tell me that Buzz Bats no longer existed (something I already knew).

So I've decided that I want to do a design and get some stickers printed, but since I'm not interested in starting a brand, I was wondering if anyone on here knew the best place to get stickers printed, in the UK or otherwise, which don't have a minimum order? Also here's a link to my designs folder, including the variations in colour for anyone who wants to check it out: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3l3m7396xzo3bnb/AADpzcFWdp6nxia-qIZzT0Iua?dl=0

Thanks

This is probably the best thing I have seen on the forum.

Have since added the screenshot of Grant's message to the Dropbox folder, because nowadays without a photo as proof, you're a liar!

I use www.diginate.com which is a UK website. You can order only 1 sticker if you wish so it's very flexible in that regard.  Only thing I would say is that I always place a clear scuff sheet over top of the face sticker on the bat as a protective layer because I have had the ink smudge due to the impact of the ball on the sticker itself.  Other than that no problems.

I have attached a couple of stickers I had designed for myself for a Slazenger V12 refurbished bat project I did.

Do you think Digivate would be able to print some vinyl stickers off to put on helmets? Trying to look at a low cost way of branding up a few of our club helmets rather than going the expensive embroided route.

@hilly_2015 - I've had some stickers from diginate before for lids. Provided you're using a plastic lid (not cloth covered) then the vinyl stickers they sell were more than suitable!

Good man! I'll get in contact with them - but if their quote calculator is anything to go by I should be able to get 4 or 5 vinyl stickers for under a tenner (fit 4 or 5 on an A4 page).
