Best players never to play for their country

The spinners discussion on the cook standing down thread got me thinking who is the best player never to represent brute country

I'll start with my 2p worth

James hildreth and Glenn Chappell must be up there

And until he was picked for t20s recently Michael kilnger must have been one of the better players to not have played for Australia

Tabish Khan... till date not represented Pakistan. Yet has some very impressive bowling stats.

Oh and add Sadaf Hussain to that list too  :D

There are so many Aussies from that generation that didn't get a fair go in Test cricket by playing at all or having a very limited record (Hodge, Law, Love, D Hussey, Di Venuto, Cox, Siddons etc) and then those who had to wait until they were older for a decent run (M Hussey, Rogers).

From an England point of view, more recently Hildreth has been unlucky and before that players like Mal Loye and Glen Chapple.

The wait to see Mal Loye in an England shirt was worth it, slog sweeping Brett Lee for 6 takes some doing.
