Hello everyone
Just got presented this lovely L&W Reserve bat by a friend & a fellow forumite by the name
@aditya44 and had to share it with y'all. The specs then
Weight - 2.12
Grains - 8/9 straight & evenly spaced
Handle - thick oval C10
Spine - 62mm
Concaving - nil
Shoulder - 10mm
Edge - 24mm
Toe - 18mm
Toe at centre - 30mm
Profile - Adam Gilchrist
As the toe shot suggested, the grains are very much synced even on the back of the bat suggesting how prime the willow is and the ping justifies it thoroughly. It sounds very rich with the mallet tap ups & the ball starts responding well 3inches from the toe upto the length of the scuff sheet. Can't term the pressing soft but it's certainly not hard.
Special mention to the finishing of the bat - it's plain SURREAL. Laver users know what I'm talking my about. Don't know if it's credit to the C10 handle or the toblerone profile but nothing apart from the typical toe shots, jar. The bat seemed well prepared straight out of the packet as the edges are properly boned (phew...)
Picks up amazing after the addition of a 2nd grip and feels fairly balanced. Holding a proper oval handle for the first time but get a feeling I'll survive
Comments are most appreciated 😇
