Here downunder much of the country is in the middle of a heat wave, I many off us have been given the weekend off.

We are still on in Brisbane atm. I'd say it's worse up here due to the humidity, so it could be 5 degrees cooler but the humidity just makes you sweat bullets. Ive lived in Vic, NSW and QLD for most of my 25 years

I get something similar with AFL as aflq are precious about their grounds that they call off some games off if it's rained for a day which is just stupid for a winter sport.

agree with Brissy, something very wrong with sweating bullets while your trying to eat your wheat Bixs in the morning.

36 deg in Brissy is a bit cooler than 45 deg here in Newcastle and over the last few days we have been experiencing up to 96% humidity at times.. Don't worry about sweating bullets the sweat is dripping off my balls 😉

Well it was -2 degrees here inEngland and not forecast to get above 3 degrees all day! Give me sweaty cornflake balls any day of the week better than having to defrost the milk for your cornflakes!!

My client has an Aussie customer and on Wednesday we were on a conference call with them and most people dropped off as the heat caused a power cut. Only guy was left was a fella who had dialled in for the beach!

Not with my circulation it isn't! Much prefer to be to hot than too cold that's what the pool/beach is for!

I think I'll stay away from the beach when it is 45 deg thanks and my balls are getting burnt when dragging through the 75 deg sand as I trudge from the car to the water ☄️🔥

Well as has been said it's about 2 degrees here at the moment, for some of us Brits thou it's hard to imagine this heat u less you have been to Oz. I. Was there for a month in 94-95 on the Tuffers 'lend me your brain mate I'm building an idiot' tour and at 8am in the morning it was unbelievably hot already.
It was more like direct sun on you whereas here it's seems it the sun has to get thru loads of ozone/pollution before it actually reaches you diluted.

I don't really know whether the beer in Australia is any good, I do know a cold beer out there on a hot day was the most fabulous thing ever !!!

Only thing ive had really was the nice Middle East on ops and that was silly heat.. sounds like modern covering of backsides though rather than just cracking on and people being sensible.
