Safraz new Pakistan ODI Captain...

I see Pakistan officially announced Saf as the new ODI Skipper. Seems like the right appointment, not sure there was any other alternative candidate tbh?

Yes no other alternative in the team so far and definitely a upgrade from Azhar Ali.

Definitely an upgrade from Azhar :)

Have they officially appointed a VC to Saf?

I will be intrigued to see if Saf will be allowed to mould the playing XI to his desire... Guys like Azhar, Asad, Umar, Shoaib, Hafeez... surely have had plenty of opportunities now?

With 2019 the target, I'd be tempted to have a major clear out of the dead wood and bring in a fresh approach with new faces.
