It seems that catch has given young tom some confidence to get into double figures with the bat!  :D
Really hope he performs and gets a nice score, he is actually a good player in my opinion

Bit frustrating that Raval isn't converting those 50's into 100s yet.

KW 148* - fastest to 5000 runs for NZ. What a player!

Difficult to see a result coming unless NZ manage to get a lead of 200.

KW is a class act indeed. Will finish his career as NZ's g.o.a.t by some distance

Even if you just look at 2016, bairstow record breaking year. Bairstow averaged 58
De kock averaged 63, albeit from a lot less tests.

De kock is some find and in great form at mo.

Just to play devil's advocate, if you take their stats when played as a keeper rather than just a batsman, there isn't much in it at all.

QDK has hit the same amount of tons and fifties in a third less games though, that's the point he really scores over Bairstow I think, especially when you consider the England tail is usually a hell of a lot stronger than SA's - Bairstow's had Ali and Woakes to bat with him for most of the past year at least.

De kock is well ahead of bairstow as a test match batsmen, it's not really close. Bairstow will not keep this run up but de kock looks like he will as his technique is far better

That lad AbD doesn't have a bad record either ;). Embarrassing that he's not in the test side - stick him in as an opener...

Be good to see how both go in England.

De Cock is decent no doubt but better players have been found out with the movement in England

He has kept it up for three  years thus far - the England selectors look more likely to stop him than any of the bowling attacks he has faced.

I guess Santner is doing his job right as Williamson hasn't asked him to turn it up a little. Gonna be hard to do anything if they don't start accelerating though.

When your #7 averages 50 but two of the top 6 average under 35 you know the teams balance is a bit wrong...
